The Mission
The Mission
The River River Rescue Coloring Book was created as an Eagle Scout project to help young children discover how everyday litter can travel from our neighborhoods into rivers, lakes and oceans. My hope is that by learning about the dangers of pollution in a fun way, kids will be inspired to care for the environment and become good stewards of the places we all share.
Please enjoy this coloring book, share it with your family, classroom, Cub Scout pack [to learn about the Outdoor Code and Leave-no-Trace principles], favorite environmental group or club, and help spread the message that every small action can make a big difference.
Free for Educators, Parents and Community Organizations
Teachers, Scout leaders, libraries, environmental nonprofits, watershed organizations and community groups are welcome to download, print and distribute the coloring book free of charge for educational purposes.
Meet Evie the Otter
Meet Evie the Otter
Evie is a curious river otter who discovers how trash left on streets and sidewalks can wash into storm drains and flow directly into nearby streams, rivers and eventually the ocean.
With help from young heroes, Evie learns that everyone can make a difference by picking up litter, recycling, using trash cans and encouraging others to care for our waterways.
