Illustrations

“I have always loved art, to the point that it was almost my college major. Since deciding to major in biology instead, I have been interested in biological illustrations which combines my two main interests. I am always trying to do something new with my art, and that was no different with these pieces. I have never attempted this style of shading and it was especially fun to experiment with.

This piece gives the reader a better understanding of what the animals during the Cambrian Explosion may have looked like. It also taught me a lot about the way that these animals functioned and their similarities to creatures alive today.”
