Synopsis
The Woodinville High School Theatre Company (WHSTC) is thrilled to bring you The Play That Goes Wrong, a laugh-out-loud murder mystery farce, in the style of a Monty Python meets Sherlock Holmes play-within-a-play. The Play That Goes Wrong, written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, follows a company of actors trying to perform a 1920s murder mystery called The Murder at Haversham Manor, but things are quickly going from awkward to bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines), it’s an explosion of comedy that presents tons of fun for all ages!
Though carefully choreographed, every single time the show is performed, something new and unexpected is bound to happen, keeping both audience and cast members on their toes. Expect a few improvised surprises which will bring a bit of magic to each performance.
