the party wants to introduce a tax-financed “public information service”. This pi is to be a sub-department of the department of education and will have its own secretary, who must be politically neutral. The pi is there to present ad-free and free information, including on politics, to citizens in a neutral and fact-based manner. It also creates new jobs for journalists. A group of journalists and politicians is to be set up to develop the pi.
