🎤 DAX MADDOCKS (Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar)
A founding member and the unmistakable voice of The OSW All Stars, Dax Maddocks brings heart, grit, and serious rock 'n' roll soul to every performance. Born and raised in Westminster, Dax is a proud product of the local schools and community — truly “Old School Westminster” through and through.
Before helping form OSW, Dax fronted one of Orange County’s most popular ’90s bands, Scarlet Crush, known for packing local venues and delivering high-energy performances that blended alternative edge with classic rock spirit. With decades of stage experience under his belt, Dax knows how to fire up a crowd — whether he’s belting out a bluesy anthem, leading a sing-along, or trading licks on rhythm guitar.
When Dax takes the mic, you’re not just hearing a voice — you’re getting a slice of OC music history.
🥁 JASON WINTERFELD (Drums & Percussion)
A founding member and the rhythmic backbone of The OSW All Stars, Jason Winterfeld brings both precision and passion to every groove. A true Old School Westminster original, Jason grew up right here in town — attending Westminster schools from kindergarten all the way through high school — before carrying that hometown pride onto the stage.
When he’s not behind the kit, Jason is shaping young minds as a dedicated educator with over 26 years of teaching experience. His blend of patience, creativity, and rhythm translates seamlessly from the classroom to the stage, where his steady beat and dynamic fills drive the band’s classic rock and blues jams.
Before joining OSW, Jason kept time for several well-loved Orange County bands, sharpening his chops across genres and building the rock-solid foundation that anchors every OSW performance today. Whether it’s a laid-back blues shuffle or a full-throttle rock anthem, Jason’s drumming keeps the band — and the crowd — locked in and loving it.
🎸 MARC BLACKLEDGE (Bass Guitar)
The low-end thunder of The OSW All Stars, Marc Blackledge brings raw energy, heavy groove, and serious rock cred to the band’s lineup. The newest member of OSW, Marc hails from nearby Seal Beach, where he’s been a fixture in the local music scene for years.
A self-proclaimed punk rock metalhead, Marc cut his teeth in a variety of SoCal bands, carving out a reputation for his driving bass lines and stage presence that commands attention. His long-running project, Kill Era, even scored the once-in-a-lifetime honor of opening for Pantera back in their heyday — a true badge of honor in the world of heavy music.
Now laying down the groove with OSW, Marc brings the perfect blend of grit, groove, and muscle to the band’s classic rock and blues sound — proving that no matter the genre, great music always comes down to one thing: the feel.
🎸 JEFF BRULAND (Lead Guitar)
A founding member and the six-string wizard of The OSW All Stars, Jeff Bruland is truly a musical Swiss Army knife — a player who can do it all and make it look easy.
Jeff first crossed paths with Jason while leading a tech training session for the Westminster School District (where Jeff’s been a dedicated teacher for 37 years!). Somewhere between the PowerPoint slides and the troubleshooting tips, Jeff casually pulled out an acoustic guitar and tore into the Allman Brothers’ “Jessica.” One jaw-drop later, Jason was hooked — and the rest, as they say, is rock ‘n’ roll history.
Since that fateful jam, Jeff has played with hundreds of bands, scored music for film and media, and built a musical résumé that makes Spotify jealous. Whether he’s bending notes through a soulful blues solo or lighting up a classic rock jam, Jeff’s playing brings the perfect mix of taste, tone, and total firepower to the OSW sound.
🎤 WES RIPPEON (Vocals & Multi-Instrumentalist)
A founding member of The OSW All Stars, Wes Rippeon is a powerhouse vocalist whose talent can light up any room — even a teachers’ lounge. Jason first recognized Wes’s incredible pipes when he casually sang “Happy Birthday” to a colleague, leaving everyone nearby absolutely blown away. That moment was all it took to know Wes belonged on stage.
Before joining OSW, Wes performed in theatrical productions of various musicals in his youth, sharpening his stage presence and vocal range. He also played music in small, intimate venues, bringing his passion and musicianship to audiences who appreciated every note. A retired teacher from the Westminster School District, Wes blends professionalism, stagecraft, and pure love for music into every OSW performance — proving that great voices only get better with experience.
