Guild NPCs
Think of a cross between Sung Jin Woo(Solo Leveling), Diablo(That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime), and Charon(Front Desk in John Wick). An elven presenting man, who is very polite and professional, but does not tolerate disrespect to the guild or the guild members. It's odd though, his eyes are golden like honey
Armed with a gun, winged sandals, and a mouth that never rolls below a natural 20, Jimmy scouts the dungeon, sprinting circles around monsters twice his size. His cocky grin, sharp wit, and endless bravado have made him both a beloved ally and an infuriating rival across the Material and Outer Planes alike.
Loosely based on Rimuru from "That time I got reincarnated as a slime" an extraordinarily intelligent slime. From the moment she became self-aware, her only passion was reading, devouring knowledge wherever she could find it literally at first then figuratively. Determined to pursue her love of books without damaging them, she taught herself the basics of magic, primarily Mage Hand and telepathy allowing her to interact delicately with books and scrolls, opening the door to a career at the guild's library.
Ancient Silver Dragonborn, eccentric elder- Like Zifnab from the Deathgate Series
Scrag is no nonsense, sarcastic, and unflappable. He is unapologetically blue collar and he cares about this guild. Scrag keeps things running smoothly and takes great pride in keeping things tidy. The best chemicals for cleaning are found in the dungeon, Scruggs routinely delves to bring back parts and ingredients
An Assimar Paladin who used to serve under The Sentinel during times of war and conflict. His warm hearted nature has always made him a friend to all those who seek one. His main prority here at the guild to to ensure that members always have their gear maintained, and that their bodies are ready for anything that comes their way. These courtesies are extended to welcome visitors and friends. His eyes are kind, his hugs and companionship is second to none, he is known as one of the most peaceful members of the guild. But if you cross him, or those he holds dear. it very well may be the last thing you do. “You can’t truly call yourself ‘peaceful’ unless you are capable of great violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless.”
Bearfold with golden brown fur.
Normally runs perimeter security reporting up to Captain Brannock.
He also provides security detail for visiting dignitaries, in addition to bouncing (if Akkar requests help at the front desk), lifting and moving heavy furniture, (unofficially) testing meals in the kitchen or assisting Captain Brannock with any other ad hoc requests.
Honey is easy going and quick to laugh unless one of this charges is threatened or he is called to action for his guild, then he is merciless in his protection.
Castor Pollux is the epitome of darkness. Xelgadis found him while travelling the depths of the Astral sea, were Castor threaten to kill him in their first meeting. Xelgadis manage to convince Castor to travel with him to see the universe in mortals eyes. Though an Eldritch Horror by nature, Castor learned to respect Xelgadis and follow him to the Never Ending Dungeon. Castor Pollux is the master of darkness, making it easier for him to infiltration, gather information for espionage.
A 3 foot lalafell blacksmith. likes working on weapons and armor that are bigger then them.
Maitre D of the Guild Hall while guild leaders are away. Manages day-to-day affairs, and can even act as advisor if MAD members are not present. Intelligent and charismatic, they organize guild resources and oversee all the seperate departments to create a cohesive and unified guild as well as provide excellent insights. He has a serious but friendly attitude and is service-oriented. If I had to relate it to dnd, he'd be a school lore bard; intellectual socialite, knows the backgrounds of all visitors and guests, but is perfectly capable in hand to hand combat and improvisation. (Idk why he has two watches, but the pocket watch is more fitting. haha) (Inspiration: The Grand Budapest Hotel)
Phobos originally learned how to fight as part of a criminal enterprise, and mainly worked in 'Collections' (he was a mafia enforcer sent to collect on debts owed). He eventually met Aslan Soulwarden, and was given the opportunity to change his ways before the family he worked for was dismantled. After that, he started adventuring, and was already on the way to the Town of Beginnings when he learned that the MAD guild needed employees, so decided to work for them and make a more honest living
Poof has always been enthralled by tales of adventure, but knew she would never be an adventurer herself due to a birth defect that crippled her left leg. Life hasways of showing you your destiny and hers came when she mixed the "wrong" ingredients in her uncles lab and blow it up. Though the smoke and flames, her true passion was revealed. Providing her alchemical abilities to the delvers in support of the grand adventures into the dungeon is a dream job she cherishes.
Personality: Happy, quick to assist, with a look of admiration for any delver she encounters. Unshakable focus when working in her lab to the loss of all outside situational awareness.
Kitsune has never tolerated a locked door. It’s not just curiosity—it’s defiance. A door means someone decided he shouldn’t pass, and that simply won’t do. He’s pried, picked, and tricked his way through countless barriers, always chasing the unknown.
Then came the Never-Ending Dungeon. A labyrinth of doors without end, deeper than reason, each threshold mocking him with its insolence. Infuriating. Intriguing. He should have walked away. Instead, he pockets another key, exhales his frustration, and steps forward.
One door at a time.
A former thie- traveling halfling bard, Jacob decided to settle down as merchant for the Merchants and Delvers Guild. He uses his expert negotiation skills to obtain discounts on important supplies needed by the guild's delvers. He of course would never try to pocket anything extra for himself. Never..!
