The mother's virtue and status

"The virtue and status of the mother: the source of tenderness and the basis of good upbringing"

Mothers have a great status in all cultures, and human rights enhance and affirm their central role in society. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights recognizes the mother’s right to protection and respect, as she is a fundamental pillar in building the family and society. Mothers provide unconditional love and care, and bear great responsibilities in raising children, which contributes to the development of future generations. Respect for human rights also calls for providing the necessary support for mothers in health and work, to ensure that they enjoy their economic and social rights. Acknowledging the mother’s gratitude reflects our appreciation for women and their pivotal role in life.
