At a high school party over the summer, two teens are sexually assaulted. Ciela was awake, but Lock, the new boy in town, was drugged into unconsciousness. When they meet again in the fall, Lock has no memory of what happened to him, only the knowledge that his body had been used against his will. Ciela, however, knows all too well what happened, and all she wants to do is forget. The more she tries to compartmentalize the events of that terrible night, the more she begins to fracture. Her magical gift for knowing the perfect pan dulce for each customer at the family pastelera disappears. Around town, neighborhood trees are vanishing overnight while other objects begin turning into sharp pieces of mirrored glass.

The Mirror Season may not be for everyone, but for those who need it, I hope it makes you feel less alone. You are not a reflection of your former self trapped in a broken mirror. You are a person, you are seen, and you can pick up the pieces of yourself and become whole again.

This is my episode by episode review for the second season of Black Mirror, all three episodes! If you haven't read my review for the first season you can read that here, and I'll be reviewing the third and fourth seasons too, as well as the Christmas special! This will include minor to major spoilers so if you haven't watched the second season of Black Mirror yet I recommend doing so before reading this, any way without further ado here's what I thought, enjoy!

All in all this was another good but short season of Black Mirror but I definitely preferred the first season, Be Right Back's just as good as anything in season 1 but White Bear loses it's impact upon a second viewing and The Waldo Moment's a little underwhelming as a whole. I still enjoyed them all and I'll be back soon with a review for the Christmas special ''White Christmas'', as well as reviews for the third and fourth seasons too, until then!

The "Black Mirror" season six finale, "Demon 79," follows Needa, played by Anjana Vasan, who is forced by a demon to sacrifice three people over three days to avert the end of the world. Vasan previously played a reporter in "Spider-Man: Far From Home," Sister Claire in "Cyrano," and Pam in "Killing Eve."

This will be the third season that Netflix has released as an exclusive since it acquired the British series in 2015. It previously released seasons three in October 2016 and season four in December 2017.

Injecting a little more Hollywood verve into Black Mirror season six's raft of tomorrow's stars, Variety reports that multi-award nominee Salma Hayek (best known for Frida and From Dusk till Dawn, plus recent parts in House of Gucci and Eternals) has been added to the series casting list. Nowt is known about her prospective part at current.

Coming off a similarly hot streak on the small screen, Schitt's Creek and Russian Doll star Annie Murphy is also reportedly in talks to join the Black Mirror season six cast. The 35-year-old won an Emmy and a SAG award for her performance as Alexis in Creek, plus a slew of nominations from the other major TV awards bodies.

After its fifth season boasted a stacked lineup with the likes of Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and even Miley Cyrus, the sixth instalment looks to bring in a similarly starry cast with a tilt toward TV actorly prestige, per a report from Variety.

Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul is arguably the most tantalising prospect, especially as he's kind of appeared in the series already. Paul was a voice cameo in season four's iconic USS Callister, playing a disgruntled multiplayer gamer in Jesse Plemon's Star Trek virtual fanfic. Black Mirror's never been one to recur any of its characters, so who knows whether Paul's involvement is a look at Gamer691 or a new story entirely. Early reports from filming have seen him donning old-timey clothes in East Sussex, so bets are on a fresh twisted tale.

The cast includes a number of other exciting names, many of them recent prestige TV staples. There's Himesh Patel, of post-apocalyptic series Station Eleven; Myha'a Herrold joins from Industry; Barbie's Michael Cera will also star in one of the season's feature-length episodes.

With five anthology episodes, you might wonder which "Black Mirror" episode you ought to start with or which episode is the very best of season six (and which one is the worst). Whether you're picking out a viewing order or deciding to only watch one or two of the film-like installments, ahead the POPSUGAR staff had ranked all five episodes of season six from worst to best. Watch at your own risk.

It has been heard in season one's "Fifteen Million Merits", season two's "White Christmas", season three's "Men Against Fire", season four's "Crocodile", and season five's "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too".

An epic cast has been assembled to tell the tales in season 6, which consists of five episodes - Joan is Awful, Loch Henry, Beyond the Sea, Mazey Day and Demon 79 - with the likes of Salma Hayek Pinault, Aaron Paul and Paapa Essiedu appearing on screen, to name just a few.

The dramatic trailer for season 6 of Black Mirror was released before the new episodes dropped. In it, we get a better look at the characters this season and are also introduced to the ominous Red Mirror label which presents Demon 79.

On Twitter, former Digital Spy deputy TV editor David Opie (see the tweet above) wasn't shy in voicing their opinion on how Black Mirror season six's episodes should be ranked. In Opie's view, 'Demon 79' stood out the most in the latest season, while 'Mazey Day' was one of the worst episodes in the show's entire history (ouch).

It seems Opie isn't alone in thinking 'Mazey Day' is the weakest entry this latest season, either. Over on Reddit, Pleasant-Hunter9569, matteeeeeb and captaincaptaincat were all in agreement over how poor it was. The latter of that trio even went as far to suggest 'Mazey Day' had put them off watching the season's other episodes (double ouch).

CAR5ON called 'Loch Henry' an enjoyable albeit predictable watch, before VERYberry-44 labeled it an "interesting commentary on true crime". However, fellow Redditor Aje644 didn't enjoy it as much due to the nature of the heavy Scottish accents, adding that the ability to turn on closed captions was a godsend for the season's second entry.

A teaser trailer for Black Mirror Season 6 was released on Netflix's YouTube channel on April 26, 2023. Set to a cover of "I Don't Want To Set the World on Fire," the trailer gives us a glimpse at what the new episodes this season will be about as we see Aaron Paul in a space station, an eerie flashy smiling face, Zazie Beetz using dial-up internet, Paapa Essiedu clad in a white fluffy parka, and plenty of tech (and humanity) going awry.

The first full-length trailer for Black Mirror Season 6 was released on May 31. Besides the promise of new nightmares to come, the trailer also reveals that the episodes this season will be structured as "films". What that will actually mean for the show is something we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, here's the trailer:

Brooker also teased that the new season will include new elements to the series that Brooker previously swore off from doing and that there will be more of a variety between the episodes than ever before.

Black Mirror creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones are returning for the new seasons, along with executive producers Jessica Rhoades (Station Eleven) and Bisha K. Ali (Ms. Marvel). No directors have been revealed yet.

It has been confirmed that this season will have more episodes than the previous installment, which only had three. The episodes will be roughly the same length of about an hour runtime. As mentioned, thanks to the new production company Broke and Bones, these new episodes will be of higher production quality.

Since it's an anthology, each season includes a huge cast of current and future A-listers, with previous seasons featuring stars like Daniel Kaluuya, Jon Hamm, Bryce Dallas Howard, Michaela Coel, Mackenzie Davis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Miley Cyrus. Davis' mother is played by Dolan, a BAFTA- and Olivier Award-winning stage and screen actress. Notable roles among her extensive list of credits include the series Appropriate Adult, Call the Midwife, W1A, Catastrophe, A Very English Scandal, Vanity Fair, and Wolf Hall, as well as the films Empire of Light, Cyrano, The Dig, Rialto, and Never Let Me Go. She also previously appeared in the Black Mirror season 5 episode "Smithereens," as CS Linda Grace.

Paul is best known for playing Jesse Pinkman in the acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad, a role he later reprised in the sequel film El Camino and the prequel spin-off Better Call Saul. He also voiced Todd Chavez in the Netflix animated series Bojack Horseman, and has also appeared in the shows Westworld, Truth Be Told, Big Love, The Path, and Veronica Mars. Fun fact: Paul previously made a voice cameo in the Black Mirror season 4 episode "U.S.S. Callister," which starred his Breaking Bad co-star Jesse Plemons.

Vasan plays Nina, a meek sales assistant living in Northern England in 1979, who is told she must commit terrible acts to prevent disaster. The actor and singer is best known for starring in the Peacock series We Are Lady Parts and season 4 of the BBC America series Killing Eve, as well as appearing on an episode of Netflix's Sex Education. She has also appeared in the films Spider-Man: Far From Home, Cyrano, Mogul Mowgli, Cinderella, and Macbeth; and she recently won an Olivier Award for her portrayal of Stella in this spring's West End staging of A Streetcar Named Desire. ff782bc1db
