Privacy and Terms of Use

Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches uses Google Analytics to monitor website traffic and events.  On the part of the site hosted by GoDaddy will be a consent banner asking if you wish to decline or to accept the use of cookies on the GoDaddy site.  

As stated, the Chronicles itself utilizes its own Google tag for website traffic.  GoDaddy may also collect aggregated data for advertising purposes.  However, no data that can identify users or any user data at all for advertising purposes is ever collected without the user's explicit consent.  

The Chronicles 'Google Analytics tag is configured so that the default consent state is Denied.  It will remain denied unless and until a user gives their explicit consent for their data to be collected.

This configuration is even more strict when a user is not within the United States.  However, restricting collection of user data by setting the default consent state as Denied is in place to protect ALL users' privacy and to maintain their right to deny or accept explicitly.

Bottom line: if a user does not specifically click the Accept button, their data will not be collected for advertising purposes.  It is vitally important that any and all vendors abide by this policy in accordance with GDPR and other data privacy regulations across the world.

Under Section 107 Of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
