80s music

is back

The 80s have returned to the interest of the general public. Whether we may talk about fashion, movies, TV shows, music, or video games, nostalgia blooms. Enough time has passed, and now it’s high time we wanted those times back. The whole current entertainment industry imitates the trends from that decade, more or less obviously. However, not everything can actually be copied. Some things deserve to be lived originally. For instance, one of the artistic fields that enjoyed an impressive creative expansion at that time, music.

The 80s have probably been the second-best influential decade regarding music. It was a moment when the music industry had suffered a radical change.

Our parent’s music, from 1079 to 1981:

  • 1979: M – Pop Music, Village People – YMCA si In The Navy, Anita Ward – Ring My Bell si Abba – Chiquititta, Patrick Hernandez – Born To Be Alive.

  • 1980: Goombay Dance Band – Sun Of Jamaica, Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall, Lipps Inc – Funky Town, Ottawan – Hands Up, Bob Marley – Could You Be Loved

  • 1981: Shakin Stevens – This Ole House, Aneka – Japanese Boy, Bernie Paul – Oh No No, Stras on 45, John Lennon – Woman, REO Speedwagon – Keep on Loving You, Eddy Grant – How Do You Feel My Love

The waves of retro nostalgia seem to return at equal intervals. The practice has shown that there is an isolation period, that lasts between 25 to 30 years, before the long-lost trends have been resumed. In the late 2000s, the 80s music slowly began to return to our culture. In the middle of 2010, everything was retro-wave, and the synthesis-pop and fashion reigned supreme. However, as we enter the 2020s, the future seems to be influenced by vibrant rhythms from all around the world.

Look how the 80s-90s culture came back:

Currently, you can feel how fashion and music from the 80s are coming back, and teenagers are enjoying and even falling in love with the rebirth of culture and art from that decade. At the same time, even parents and grandparents can relive the youth's feelings through this gate of time, which also brings along the imprint of these influential years.

But, do you know what the sad part is?

This 80s door will close as fast as it had opened. All the beautiful things go out when time passes, only remaining the distant memory of this journey through the culture and the 80s music. However, we, 2020’s teenagers, have to enjoy the present, the moment, and the beauty of 80s music.
