Time Lord rock (sometimes shortened to Trock) is a genre of geek rock music based on, and about, the Doctor Who television series. It was created in 2008 in the United Kingdom with the formation of Chameleon Circuit.

In 1988, The KLF released the single "Doctorin' the Tardis" under the alternative band name The Timelords, which reached number 1 in the UK singles chart as well as charting in other countries. However, the group never released anything else under this name or with the same subject, nor did any other band follow up on the single, leaving it as a novelty rather than a genre.[6]

In the summer of 2008, Alex Day, a fan of Doctor Who, was inspired by the growing phenomenon of wizard rock (formed from Harry Potter fandom)to begin writing songs about Doctor Who, dubbing the resulting genre "Time Lord Rock" (abbreviated to "Trock", after the "Wrock" abbreviation used for wizard rock).[6][7][8][9] Charlie McDonnell, also a fan, did the same, and released an acoustic video performance of "Blink" on YouTube.[10] Combined with the Scottish vloggers Liam Dryden and Chris Beattie, they formed the first Time Lord rock band, Chameleon Circuit.[8]

Time Lord rock performers are usually British or Australian.[6] Chicago-based Time Crash may have been the first American band playing in the genre.[6] In 2013 Legs Nose Robinson became a trock-rocking[11] American band picking up the new genre and broad in range. "references to the series, while present, are subtle, with styles ranging from glam-tinged rock to a burlesque reminiscent of Kurt Weill."[12]

When Gong and Sideways mucked about with time and space, mixing up a Gargent world with a Primax universe circa 2005, the Rock Lords showed up in a universe in place of the Junkions. The evil warlord Magmar launched an attack on a combined Guardian/Autobot force and almost wiped them out, but Hot Rod and Kup had made contact with the goodie rocks under Boulder. These Rock Lords drove off Magmar's goons, allowing Major Mo and his Autobot/Guardians to head after Galvatron. Echoes and Fragments

Eons ago, a civilization of advanced, organic Ro-Beings on the planet Quartex were threatened by the stellar radiation from a nearby star. Their connection to nature and dislike of technology prompted them to hatch a plan: every living being would be fused with rock at the moment the radiation wave hit, turning them into living rocks. The process was imperfect, and almost all of the Rock Lords had forgotten who they once were. Several important battles in the conflict between Guardian and Renegade involved Rock Lords. The Combiner Wars which ultimately decided the conflict decisively for the Guardians involved a team up between the Renegades and the evil Rock Lords and the Guardians and the good Rock Lords. Renegade Rhetoric (2)

Each Rock Lord came on a blister card with a stony-textured weapon, and could transform into a "rock" of a type specified on the stats card. They also included a mini-comic, illustrating one of their battles. The figures were often textured to resemble a type of stone, sometimes illustrating fractures or lumpy mineral structures. Almost all were cast in multi-colored swirled plastics, except those that were coated entirely in vacuum-metalized "chrome" to represent metal ores. Later additions to the line were Rockasaurs, larger dinosaurian beasts that transformed into boulders, as well as Narlies, the furry non-transforming fauna of planet Quartex. Rock Lords eventually expanded beyond its Machine Robo roots by introducing the Action Shock Rocks, who eschewed a weapon accessory in exchange for a spring-loaded or motorized action feature.

Originally a leader-class Skrall of the Rock Tribe, the future Element Lord of Rock was selected, along with six warriors from other tribes, by the Great Beings for an experiment. He was taken to their underground lab and turned into a being made of rock, being given the purpose of leading the Rock Tribe.

Even though the war was over, the Element Lords still fought each other. While Tarduk, Crotesius, and Kirbold were journeying toward the Valley of the Maze, the Element Lord of Water had dragged them into the River Dormus, and the Element Lord of Ice began freezing the river. The Element Lord of Rock then came and saved the group, then shattered the ice. He then took the form of Tarduk, though he was still rock, and tried convincing the small team to turn back, but failed. The Element Lord let the group pass, but only if they agreed to not take anything from the maze.

Jaime can't be lord because of his vows. Tyrion is an attainted traitor and wanted murderer besides. That leaves us with Cersei. With her death, the seat will pass to Tommen No-Kidding-Baratheon unless Tyrion lands in Westeros with Daenerys and makes sure that his sister does die.

Nearly 100,000 years later the Element Lords managed to free themselves from their imprisonment to try and breach the Valley of the Maze. On the banks of the River Dormus, the Lord of Rock came across Tarduk, Crotesius, and Kirbold trying to out-swim an oncoming Ice wave in the river. He saved them, and also shattered the oncoming ice wave with his power. Speaking through a Tarduk duplicate made of rock, the Lord of Rock permitted them to keep searching for the Valley of the Maze, as long as the power within was saved for himself.[9]

So in Exodus 17, Moses obeyed God by striking the rock, but in Numbers 20 Moses disobeyed God by striking the rock instead of speaking to it. The incident in Numbers 20 was the second time Moses struck the rock, the first time being in Exodus 17. Therefore, we teach that Moses was punished for striking the rock twice in the sense of striking it Numbers 20 and in Exodus 17, not in the sense of striking it two times in Numbers 20.

When the Lord instructed Moses to strike the rock in Exodus 17, He intended to establish a picture of Christ as our Redeemer. The Bible says repeatedly in Psalms and Isaiah that Christ is our Rock and Cornerstone struck (i.e., killed) for our sake, and He will bring forth streams of living water (i.e., salvation...see John 4:10). Moreover, Hebrews says Christ died once for all and no further sacrifice for sins is required.

So the Lord intended Moses strike the rock in the desert only once in the scene from Exodus 17, thus picturing Jesus sacrificed once to bring us salvation. Later in Numbers 20, the Lord instructed Moses to only speak to the rock to preserve the picture created in Exodus 17. When Moses chose to strike the rock a second time instead, he disrupted the picture created in Exodus 17. Had God allowed Moses' mistake to go unchallenged, we would likely be confused by the distorted picture, concluding it was necessary for Christ (i.e., the rock) to be sacrificed (i.e., struck) repeatedly for our salvation.

Therefore, God rebuked Moses to assure our proper understanding of the picture of the rock barring him from entering the Promised Land. In the process, the Lord formed a new picture to support a proper understanding of salvation. By barring Moses from the Promised Land, the Lord illustrated that we cannot enter into salvation (i.e., the Promised Land) by works of Law (i.e., by Moses) but only by the work of Jesus (i.e., by Joshua, which is the name Yeshua or Jesus).

1 The Lord's our rock, in Him we hide,

A shelter in the time of storm;

Secure whatever ill betide,

A shelter in the time of storm.

Mighty Rock in a weary land,

Cooling shade on the burning sand,

Faithful guide for the pilgrim band-

A shelter in the time of storm.

Jaime became lord of Casterly Rock and warden of the west when his father died in 329 AC, it wasn't long after until he was named master-of-coin and became a member of the small council by King Brandon Stark.

At sunrise her father awoke and finding his daughter gone gave the alarm. They all rushed to the sea. Fearfully they gazed out, seeing the dawn break through the white mist, and then they saw the beautiful face of Ewauna lying on the sea smiling up at the white clouds coming from the north. To the west they saw her cat and kittens and near the beach poor Komax baying for his mistress. Behind the large rocks near the shore sits Seatka, gazing at Ewauna still trying to catch her eye. But never, never does she falter. Many, many moons she has been there. Now they have all turned to stone.

I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
