How can we help?

The Learning Commons (LC) is a resource at Cathedral High School designed to provide students with a quality second access to content through peer tutoring. It is available for ALL students to use! If you need a quiet place to study or need help with your math classes, the LC is a safe, relaxing, collaborative, and welcoming place to get work done.

How it Works

No Appointment Needed

You do not need to schedule any appointments! Just come in and get the help you need whenever you need it.

Have Teacher's Permission

The LC is open throughout the day so come at any time. However, you must have your teacher's permission first! Don't just skip class!

Please Sign In and Out Through Element

We ask that you sign in and out through Element. It helps us keep track of how many visits we have per day, as well as tutor service hours.

Take Initiative, Be Productive

Ultimately you are responsible for your grades. If you need help, just ask! WE WANT TO HELP.

Be productive, get things done!

*This space is designed for collaboration. So do not feel like you are alone! Work together! Ask for help; everyone at the LC wants to see you succeed!

Hours of Operation

Come to the Learning Commons whenever you need help! We are open throughout the school day, every day of the week; and also on Mission Mondays on Zoom! We have before and after school hours on Late Start Days, too!

  - 7:30am-3:30pm
- Days 2,4
  - 8:45-3:30pm

eLearning

You can still get help with your math homework even if you are eLearning! If you are at home sick, stuck in quarantine, or can't make it to school for whatever reason, that's okay! Our tutors are always standing by on Nexus! Be sure to take advantage of this unique resource.
