BRADFORD
THE KML PROJECT WELCOMES YOU!
Our project was inspired through research, social experiments, speaking to ex service users and food banks around the Bradford area. We found:
The KML project - Bradford is a Unique idea founded by Haleemah Mahmood in 2019. We attempt to provide basic hygiene essentials to men, women and children around the local community. Please see our hygiene essentials list. We do this by attending food banks, refugee services and any other organisations in need of our hygiene essentials. Over the last few weeks we have received individual referrals from professionals and council members. The demand of basic hygiene essentials for families has been huge, and we need your support to ensure that the local community are able to receive these items.
"Please pray that the reward for the charitable deeds will go to those whom it's intended for" - KML
Over the last few weeks, we have provided several hygiene items to over 150 people, including families with children. Our volunteer team has increased to over 10 people in this short time. Our main aim is to ensure we provide the individuals using these services with a regular top up of our hygiene essentials, approximately every 6 weeks. Our organisation attempts attend the service and distribute these items themselves. This way we are able to ensure the items donated are being given to those in need directly. We have a 100% donation policy. This means, our fantastic volunteers use there own spare time to distribute these essentials. With your support, we aim to help hygiene poverty, a massive and ongoing crisis in the UK.
Our multi talented volunteers have many beneficial skills, For instance, a BA Hons social work degree, a fantastic barber, several ex service users and support workers. Our diverse team can also speak several languages, listed below;
