The Kingdom Singers
Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland
Scottish Charity SC044718
We are a mixed choir of 20 singers, directed by Willie Campbell and accompanied by Robert Gardner. We perform in various venues throughout central Scotland and we have even visited Germany on two occasions to perform with a choir in one of our twin towns, Wilhelmshaven where we sang with Coro Piccolo. We rehearse in Dunfermline on a Monday evening and we hold three concerts per year - two at the end of May and one at Christmas. We also perform to groups who invite us to come along - perhaps to help fundraise or simply to entertain.
We are a registered Scottish Charity and we help to raise funds for various organisations through our singing. We also donate to a selected charity each year. This year we donated to the The Shiresmill Riding Therapy Centre in Dunfermline and this has allowed us to sponsor one of their newer horses - his name is Mac Baloo. We have posted a photograph of him in our gallery. We raised enough from our donations to sponsor him for two years.
Twice a year we have a full day of rehearsing. This is a day of singing and social time together for the choir. We have just completed our first for this season (November 2024) - held in Limekilns Church and was a very successful day.
At present we have a full complement of Sopranos and Basses but we would welcome any new Altos and Tenors. We are a friendly group and we thoroughly enjoy singing together. If you are interested, email our secretary David at kingdomsingers@live.co.uk .
