The Story in titled Footnote to Youth is a short story written by Jose Garcia Villa in 1932. The story mainly revolves around Dodong, a famer's son and his life journey. Dodong a seventeen year old decides to marry his sweetheart Teang, and his father that feels Dodong is too young to marry but is unable to stop him. A lot of years have passed, Dodong became a father and experienced the same scenario with his eldest son Blas.
