ACCEPTED SUBMISSION PIECES:

• Poetry - Up to 50 lines.

• Prose - Up to 5000 words.

• Book, TV, and movie reviews - Up to 1000 words.

• Personal Essays, General/Academic Essays, Memoir Excerpts, Creative/Any Nonfiction - Up to 3000 words.

• Photography, Graphic Design, and Other Art pieces - Up to 3 pieces.

You can mix and match what you submit (e.g. 2 poems and 1 photography piece) as long as it equates to 3 PIECES for submission MAX. from the provided mediums.

ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION PACKAGE REQUESTS:

• We request that ALL pieces being submitted for themed calls come with the following:

1. 1.  A BRIEF EXPLANATION of your work and how it corresponds to the theme. This context will allow us to see your unique perspective on your work, and help us administer relevant feedback accordingly.

   2. A BRIEF EXPLANATION of why IBR is the best platform for your work.

• Your submission package should be submitted in PDF FORM ONLY  and should be entitled "IBR Submission - *whichever one of our opportunities you are submitting to*". 

Common examples:  "IBR Submission - Issue 05 Assimilation" or "IBR Submission - Blog".

• Please provide a third-person bio in your package.

Finally, we operate on a 24-hour response time! You will receive an acceptance or rejection from us within 24 hours of submitting your package. All work accepted into our magazine is automatically considered for our Best of Blues awards, given to the best work in the issue!

RIGHTS AND SUBMISSION CONCERNS:

• All submissions are FREE and will receive FREE feedback upon acceptance!

• We accept previously published work! Please credit where your work was initially published clearly in your submission so we can credit the initial publisher. If you are published with us and wish to submit your work elsewhere, please credit us as the first initial publisher. Your work is your intellectual property, we hold no rights!

• Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please let us know if your work has been accepted elsewhere so we can congratulate you!

• Profanity is welcome in your work, but please keep it necessary.

• We DO NOT tolerate and WILL NOT accept work containing hate speech/work that has been decorated with bigotry, work generated by artificial intelligence (A.I.) in any capacity, or work that has been plagiarized! Any submissions of this nature will result in IMMEDIATE REJECTION WITHOUT CONSIDERATION.
