MEDIUMS WE CONSIDER FOR PUBLICATION:

| BLOG SUBMISSIONS |

Nonfiction ONLY

• • Personal/academic/general essays - up to 5,000 words

| THEMED SUBMISSION CALLS |

• Poetry - up to 50 lines

• Prose - up to 5,000 words.

• Book, TV, and movie reviews - up to 1,000 words.

• Personal Essays, General/Academic Essays, Memoir Excerpts, Creative/Any Nonfiction - up to 3,000 words.

• Photography, Graphic Design, and Other Art pieces - up to five pieces

You can mix and match what you submit (e.g. 2 poems and 1 photography piece) as long as it equates to 3 PIECES in total. Don't see your creative medium listed? Submit anyway! We are always open to exploring new realms of creativity!

SUBMISSION PACKAGE REQUESTS:

• All written submissions should be submitted in PDF FORM ONLY

• All photography/art submissions should be submitted in .PNG FORM ONLY

• Every submission should be emailed to theinfiniteblues@gmail.com with a subject line entitled "IBR Submission - *the name of which opportunity you're submitting to; ex: the blog or a themed call"

• Every submission should come with a third person bio between 25-100 words

• For themed submission opportunities, we request that ALL pieces come with the following:

1. 1.  A BRIEF EXPLANATION of your work and how it corresponds to the theme. This context will allow us to see your unique perspective on your work, and help us administer relevant feedback accordingly.

   2. A BRIEF EXPLANATION of why IBR is the best platform for your work.

   3. Any necessary additional information (ex: trigger warnings, where your piece may be previously published, etc.)

• For blog submissions, we do not require additional materials other than your third-person bio and trigger warnings if applicable

FURTHER SUBMISSION DETAILS

• At this time, we are not a paying publisher, so all opportunities are FREE to submit to

• For themed calls, all accepted submissions will receive FREE feedback and be considered for our Best of the Blues awards

• For blog submissions, only brief feedback will be administered (ex: grammatical, not content-wise)

• Response times for all submissions will be between 3-5 days. This can vary (ex: you receiving a response sooner), but we give this timeline since our team consists of five hard-working (but rather busy) students and things can happen!

• For both themed & blog submissions, we accept previously published work! All that we ask from you is to credit where your work was initially published, so we can recognize them! The same rule applies for us. If you submit your work elsewhere, please credit us as the initial publisher. Your work is your intellectual properly, we hold no rights!

• Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please let us know if your work has been accepted elsewhere so we can congratulate you!

• Profanity is welcome in your work, but please keep it necessary.

• Didn't receive an anticipated email from us? Ensure to double-check your spam folder!

• We DO NOT tolerate and WILL NOT accept work containing hate speech/work that has been decorated with bigotry, work generated by artificial intelligence (A.I.) in any capacity, or work that has been plagiarized! Any submissions of this nature will result in IMMEDIATE REJECTION WITHOUT CONSIDERATION. Do not even attempt to reason!
