Srishthi Das
Srishthi's passion for activism and literature is what piqued her interest in starting The Unlocked Library with Megha. Her involvement in debate, a place where she could explore different kinds of arguments and do in-depth research on topics that cover racism, sexism, and marginalized communities, made her realize how easily individuals overlook the policy-making that effects the expression of racialized communities.
Through this book club, Srishthi hopes to not only build a safe space for discourse on literature, but to also meet likeminded individuals interested in combatting restrictive policies.

Megha Kadiyala
Megha is a junior at Carroll Senior High School. She has a deep love for community-building and expresses that through her extracurriculars. She is a Telluride Association Summer Seminar scholar; this means that she was 1 of 13 students selected to participate in a six-week seminar at Cornell University titled: "Watering Down and Silencing Stories: How the White Gaze Changes Social Movements." Megha hopes to drive change in her community, and she found that she can foster inclusive environments by introducing her peers to diverse works of art and literature. In the face of book bans and censorship, transformative action is necessary. In an effort to fight back against an increasingly censored education, Megha founded The Unlocked Library with Srishthi Das.

Maddie Riehl
Maddie has moved five times in her life and subsequently been at many different schools. Because she has experienced firsthand how states can interfere with education, she hopes that The Unlocked Library can provide views on issues often swept under the rug. Everybody deserves a place where they feel comfortable to express themselves and by readinf and understanding others' experiences, a more inclusive environment can be formed.
Nick Ferrara
Nick Ferrara is a Junior at Carroll Senior High School with a passion for creativity, self-expression, and community activism. Within school he participates in the Visual Arts program, as he recently was nominated the Vice President position in the Carroll branch of the National Art Honor Society. Outside of academics, he plays keys for Southlake’s School of Rock Performance Programs, has achieved the Eagle Scout Rank in the Scouts of America, and is obsessed with movies. Through The Unlocked Library Club, he aims to better understand the political landscape around him, and to share with others the importance of community.
