V. Let us contemplate in this mystery how or Lord Jesus Christ, forty days after His Resurrection, ascended into heaven, attended by Angels, in sight of His most Holy Mother, and His Apostles and Disciples, to the great admiration of them all.

V. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
R. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

V. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus, who ascended into heaven.
R. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

V. Let us pray. O Mother of God, comfort of the afflicted, as thy beloved Son, when He ascended into heaven, lifted up His hands and blessed His Apostles, so vouchsafe, most Holy Mother, to lift up thy pure hands to Him for us, that we may enjoy the benefits of His blessing, here on earth, and hereafter in heaven.
