Why is it important that we study and remember events like the Holocaust and how can the things we learn from this horrible tragedy help us to prevent others from happening in the future?
In this module we will be exploring the Holocaust, a horrific violation of human rights that started when Nazi Germany began carrying out their "Final Solution". In this module you will be analyzing journals entries that were written by holocaust survivors, taking a virtual tour through Auschwitz, watching educational videos pertaining to this topic, and a short quiz at the end that will test your knowledge on this subject. Objectives for this learning module:
Analyze the ways that Jewish People were targeted during the Holocaust and the laws that were released to restrict their freedom
Learn about the various ways that the Holocaust and World War II impacted daily life for Jewish people, soldiers fighting in the war, and people trying to help other who are in need.
Study some of the primary sources, such as diaries, that historians use when studying daily living during this time.
Virtually explore the largest Nazi Concentration camp that was responsible for a large percentage of deaths during the Holocaust.
