Akshay Kumar along with some of the heartthrob actors of the Bollywood industry are coming up with a new film “Bachchan Pandey” on the 22nd of January 2021. Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi, Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh are the cast of the movie. Farhad Samji is the director of the movie.
The movie is going to be a hilarious action-comedy and it is being said that Bachchan Pandey would be a remake of the Tamil film Veeram which was released in the year 2014. Some sources suggest that the release dates of Bachchan Pandey and and Amir Khan's new movie “Lal Singh Chaddha” were colliding but Amir Khan's light request conversation with Akshay and Farhad led to the shift of the date of Bachchan Pandey.
Much about the script of the movie has not yet been disclosed. A little information has been provided that Akshay and Kriti would be in lead roles acting opposite to each other. Akshay would be playing as a rich gangster who rather interested in acting in movies while Kriti would be shown as a simple girl who is a journalist but wants to be a director. These two different personalities further meet due to a slight common interest. Arshad Warsi being shown in the movie will make the movie more humorous and amusing.
Pankaj Tripathi from the Mirzapur fame had also joined the sets of Bachchan Pandey in Jaisalmer. He being a strong and influencing figure would attract more multitude of audiences.
Nothing about the part of Jackeline and Arshad has been revealed yet.
The movie was targeted to be completed in around 90 days.
