The purpose of this experiment is to demonstrate the Law of Large Numbers. The Law of Large Numbers states that as our sample size increases the probability distribution of the sample will approach the theoretical probability distribution.
The M&M company states that their color distribution for plain M&Ms is 13% brown, 13% red, 14% yellow, 24% blue, 20% orange and 16% green.
