Pullus' history is fascinating, and littered with fun facts and oddities. Started in late July of 2023, the nation has plowed through hardships and trials to stand where it does today.
The Original Flag
Pullus was founded July 29th, 2023, by a teenager named Alec. He had known about the concept of a Micronation for a few years, but it wasn't until then he decided to start one. He created the flag (the original flag is on the left), wrote some basic laws, and declared his chicken pasture to be a sovereign nation. He crowned himself Grand Duke Alphonse I (Because that sounds cooler than 'Grand Duke Alec I').
The Second Pullus flag
A few days after Pullus' founding, Alphonse took it to the internet. He announced his micronation on the Micronations Subreddit. Shortly afterwards on August 6th, he joined the Union of Northern Alantic Micronations (known as UNAM) as a Founding Member. A few days later, he changed the flag to the Second Pullus Flag. Alphonse would continue working on Pullus. He designed the first Pullus Brick (the national currency), wrote the first Constitution, and appointed some chickens into government roles.
The flag of the Sovereign Principality of Pullus
In October 2023, Alphonse decided to turn the Grand Duchy into a Principality. He designed a new flag, renamed the Prime Minister to Chancellor (who was a chicken at the time), and crowned himself as the Prince. Alphonse also toyed with creating a State Religion, but decided not too. Around December, with school being busy and other personal matters, Alphonse stepped away from Pullus untill March of 2024. The period between December and March later became known as the Hiatus.
The current (and best) Flag
In March 2024, Alphonse finally came back to Pullus. He renamed the Sovereign Principality of Pullus back to the Grand Duchy of Pullus, making him Grand Duke again. He re-designed the flag to what it is currently.
Over the course of March to November 2024, he would work on Pullus on and off, making laws, re-writing the constitution, and searching for new citizens. In November, he bcame busy with other tasks and didn't have time for Pullus.
Alphonse I with the flag
In January 2025, Alphonse had more time, and dedicated it to Pullus. He had the flag printed.
As of now, he is working on getting a Cabinet of Ministers assembled, writing the Constitution, and finding ways to engage with his local community.
We have a bright future ahead of us.
