Intro
It all started with a phone call.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Congratulations! You have won a raffle for a trip to the beautiful country of Egypt."
"But, who is this?"
"DefinitelyNotAScam Vacations."
It sounds kind of suspicious, but a free trip is a free trip, right? You give the man on the phone your credit card number and forget about the whole thing. However, a month later, you receive a plane ticket in the mail. It seems like you're actually going on this trip!
The tickets say the plane leaves tomorrow for Cairo. Time to pack your bags. You have a plane to catch.
When you arrive, your tour guide leads you to the door of a towering pyramid. He points to the entrance. It seems like he wants you to open the door. You don't know the password, but you should probably figure it out soon. This man is getting pretty insistent.
Breakfast
As you utter the secret pass code, the door the the pyramid slides open. As you step into the dank passageway, you feel metal touch your throat.
"We have been waiting for you," a deep voice says.
"What are you doing?" you scream. The knife pushes further into your skin.
"We've been trying to find the ancient treasure hidden within this pyramid for weeks, but no one can figure out how to open the doors to go further into the pyramid. There are these stupid hieroglyphics all over the place, but none of my guys can figure out what they mean."
"I don't see how I have anything to do with-"
"You've proved your resourcefulness by getting through the front door of the pyramid. We need someone with skills such as yours to help us figure out how to get the treasure."
"What if I don't want to help you?" you ask.
"Then," the voice says menacingly, "You die."
The person behind you pushes you forwards towards the darkness. You click on your flashlight and look around the chamber. A sign towers in front of you. You read it and almost laugh at what it says: Welcome to the Great Food Pyramid.
You recollect yourself and walk up to the first hieroglyphic. You'd better figure out what this means fast. Your very life depends on it.
Lunch
You walk down an ancient staircase further into the pyramid. You know you need to find a way to escape your captor, but there's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. It seems like you're just stuck solving these puzzles for now. You are pushed into the next chamber by your captor. Time to get solving.
Snack
It seems like these puzzles will never end! At least you're still alive. Let's get cracking!
Dinner
As you walk into the next room, you find more of the same. More puzzles. You approach the door of this new chamber. Hmm... You begin to formulate a plan. It might be possible to get rid of that evil man and get the treasure. But, you have to get the next door open first...
Dessert
The door slams behind you as you rush away from the thug that tried to imprison you. The man lets out a cry as the door closes tight. You've escaped, but you're still trapped in this pyramid. How odd... There are hieroglyphs in this room, but not a door. Maybe if you figure out what they mean, you can get out of this god-forsaken place.
The Treasure Chamber
You've found it! The treasure!
Except as you walk into the hidden chamber, it is completely empty except for a hieroglyphic in the middle. Seems like the pyramid has one more puzzle for you to solve before you can take the treasure.
You Win!
A strange idol rises up on a platform in the center of the room. I guess this puzzle hunt really was a... "PIECE OF CHOCOLATE CAKE." *wink, wink*
One of the walls in the room swings outwards, and you grab the idol and rush into the hot Egypt sun. You've escaped with the prize! Congratulations!
