Alex. R. Kimmerly is a Canadian author from the small town of Chatham-Kent Ontario. Alex was never a big reader in school but after high-school when he read What If It's Us by Adam Silveira and Becky Abertalli is when he figured out he wanted to write a story of his own. It took years to finally figure out the perfect story but he couldn't get Disney's Aladdin out of his mind, Alex's favorite Disney movie. With both What If It's Us and Disney's Aladdin in his mind, he finally came up with The Evolved: The Shadow and The Genie in April 2020.
