Technologies are born to remark human development and open our new history for our civilization, and so is the US. We have highlighted the remarkable technological advancements that changed the US civilization in 3 major periods from the pre-18th century to 1877. In the pre-18th century, we empathized with the importance of ships in finding new land and the printing press in spreading the existence of the American continent, which made the Westerns know about the new land America and colonize it, thereby leading to the establishment of the US. In the second major period between 1700 and 1800, we focused on how the Cotton Gin, when not creating a new industry, led to a revolution in the efficiency of cotton cultivation as well as a strong impact on the labor structure in US agricultural society. This clearly shows how the new invention can change the state of society and the economy and also lead to a marked improvement in later inventions. The last period from 1800 to 1877 shows inventions that enhanced the disadvantages in earlier communications and transportation, which required fast and time efficiency but primitive means before inventions such as ships and horses could not do. The invention of the steam engine which led to the development of railroads, along with the invention of the telegraph, they all had a huge impact on the economy of the US, as well as the efficiency it brought in spreading information in trading and also wars. Altogether, these inventions and technological advancements have proved to have the greatest impact in founding and establishing the US, with then the development and maintenance of the economy and society of the US.Â
