Kaolin brings decades of experience to every stage she stands on. She is a member of the NAACP and the National Organization for Women (NOW), and she served as the National Keynote Plenary Speaker for NOW's 50th Anniversary celebration in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she spoke on feminism and diversity.
Her work is grounded in lived experience: marrying across the color line in the 1970s, raising a family, organizing for peace and justice, and teaching college students who were hungry for real conversation about race.
Kaolin is the author of Let's Talk About Race: A Workbook About White People Fostering Racial Equality in Their Lives, as well as Spiritually-Speaking Photography Vol. 1 & 2, The Deep Unspoken Pain of Racism, The Spirit of Change: Working the Racial Equality Muscle, and the essay collection Is It Something I Said? Her forthcoming work, Protocol: Welcome to Paradise, Watch Your Step, is soon to be published by Austin Macauley Publishers.
