The Dark Nights At Gumball's is a FNAF fan game that is crossed over with TAWOG.

It dates back all the way to 2014 when it was originally a short film called "Five Nights At Gumball's", later turned into a game.

In 2015, it was changed to "One Night At Penny's".

The game was completed, however, the developer says that it wasn't what he wanted it to be and says that one day, it will get a remastered version along with 3 others.

In August 2016, he decided to give the project one more chance.

He began working on the game that would now be called "The Dark Nights At Gumball's".

The title just came out of nowhere and was also inspired by the title of another FNAF fan game "The Joy Of Creation" by Nikson.

The first version of the game was released on November 5, 2016.

It wasn't perfect, but it did get some attention.

It was then given a "built from the ground up" major update in 2017, which was here when the game started to get into the gameplay for YouTube.

Rostiger Rentner and Captain Tate were the first two YouTubers to play the game, which did make the developer very surprised.

One YouTuber even did a live stream where he played through the entire game.

In 2018, a sequel was created called "The Dark Nights At Gumball's 2", which starred him and his ex-girlfriend as the people on the phone. 

Originally called "P.R.O.J.E.C.T Watterson", it was released on November 15, 2018.

While the first was easy, the second was way too hard.

On April 30, 2020, TheGameSalmon played both the first and second games in one video.

Unfortunately, he never beat both of them, which was okay with the developer.

As time went by, many people would tell him to make the 3rd game.

Sadly, BG never got to make the 3rd game. Mainly because he's not happy with how the two turned out.

While he is happy with the attention it has gotten, he's not quite satisfied with how it turned out in the end.

Then, something unexpected happened.

In December of 2021, he posted a teaser on the TDNAG Gamejolt page showing the original Gumball and what looks like a remastered version of Gumball.

So far, no other news has been made yet as of right now.

Although, BG stated in a live stream that this could be for a reboot of the series.

The only thing that we can do now is just to wait and see what happens next.
