I loved being in the 1800s with the count, loved the world that he lived in with its political twists and hidden agendas. I loved the count, his personality, and his development. The telegraph hack that Dumas came up with is predictable enough. The count, a man who had been unjustly imprisoned in his youth, plants a false message on the telegraph to ruin one of the men who had wronged him. He does this by bribing the operator with enough money to allow him to leave the telegraph service, avoid punishment, and start life afresh elsewhere. The obvious moral here is that people are often the weakest link in a technological system.

Ten years later, Dants emerges in Rome, calling himselfthe Count of Monte Cristo. He seems to be all knowing and unstoppable.In Rome Dants ingratiates himself to Albert de Morcerf, son of FernandMondego and Mercds, by saving him from bandits. In return forthe favor, Albert introduces Dants to Parisian society. None ofhis old cohorts recognize the mysterious count as Edmond Dants,though Mercds does. Dants is thus able to insinuate himself effortlesslyinto the lives of Danglars, Mondego, and Villefort. Armed with damningknowledge about each of them that he has gathered over the pastdecade, Dants sets an elaborate scheme of revenge into motion.

a wonderful show, the venue is in a convenient location as it is close to Princes St, but is a bit hidden away. A gem of a location - fairly priced drinks and polite service

I very much enjoyed Revenge, the show was entirely sung through and there wasn't a missed note in the whole production

A special part of the show is the ending sword fighting scene with the count and his nemesis fernando the movement was extremely clean and im very impressed with the two gentleman managing to sing so highly and clearly while doing an intense fight

As a chef, have prepared this more times than I can count. I like that you grill is, its how its made. No Monte Cristo sandwich is prepared with mayo or mustard, and no jam either. Its served with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
