We are the ConTechs, a highly dedicated and passionate team based at the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory at the University of Lagos. Our main focus is on robotics, and we are committed to making groundbreaking advancements in this field for the benefit of our communities.

Established in late September 2021 under the visionary leadership of our coordinator, Prof. Chika Yinka Banjo, we are a team of like-minded individuals with a shared passion for robotics. Initially, our meetings were held on Saturdays, but we later switched to Fridays to optimize our collaboration.

With individuals from various secondary schools coming together, we have devoted our time and effort to solving complex challenges and contributing to this ambitious project. As we worked together, we formed strong bonds and lasting friendships. It is this deep understanding of one another and our unwavering commitment and drive that have propelled us to achieve remarkable success in our rookie season.

We proudly secured the 3rd position in Nigeria, and our exceptional performance earned us the prestigious Think Award.

Reflecting on our achievements as we enter our second season (2022-2023), Unfortunately, we did not win any awards but we are committed in doing our best to success this season
