Hand-building workshop
3 weeks / $175-200 sliding scale
Saturdays July 19-August 9 from 2:00-4:15 pm

Join us for a playful and accessible introduction to hand-building with clay, perfect for beginners or anyone looking to reconnect with their creativity. Over 3 weeks you'll explore pinch, slab and coil techniques, learn how to wedge, and explore glazing to create functional and sculptural pieces in a welcoming studio environment.
All pieces you make get to come home with you!

Every Saturday from 11:30 am-1:30 pm
Make something useful in just one session!
Each week at The Commons Studio, we’ll guide you through a beginner-friendly hand-building project — like a mug, bowl, vase, or something totally unexpected. No prior experience needed. Just bring your hands, your curiosity, and maybe a friend. You’ll learn the basics of working with clay, connect with others, and take home something handmade and functional. Our team will take care of glazing for you, and you can choose from any of our glazes of the moment for your piece! (Drop-ins welcome, max 8 people can attend)

Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Policies
General Terms and Conditions
The studio maintains the right to cancel any class, workshop, or subscription at any point. Should this occur, a full refund will be issued. MAKE-UP CLASSES ARE NOT OFFERED. Please double-check that the class times suit your schedule before booking.
For group events (e.g., workshops, classes, open studio), a minimum of 4 participants is required. If this number isn't met, the studio will cancel the event and offer either alternative dates or compensation.
It is your responsibility to be punctual for classes.
If you miss a class, you will not be compensated or be allowed to reschedule. If you are sick, we ask that you wear a mask.
Cancellations or changes made 7 or more days prior to the scheduled first class are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling from the original order date. For changes made 2 to 6 days before the first class, a 50% refund will be provided, based on the original order date. Any changes made within 48 hours are non-refundable, and rescheduling or cancellations will not be permitted
Note: The Commons Studio does not take any responsibility for pieces that crack / break during firing.
