I am a land surveyor and cad technician, in my drawing I have two point label styles, the parent style is for elevations to the hundredth of a foot, the child is for elevations to the tenth. In model space, I rotated and moved those elevation labels those labels for legibility, the default is zero degrees. I then started making sheet layouts, I got to a section of roadway where rotating my view, using DVIEW with a twist, saved space and allowed me to put more viewports per sheet. Almost all my point labels lost the rotation I had assigned to them with the exception of points that were not moved but only rotated. I have tried changing the label behavior using all three options to no avail.

I need a best practices methodology for rotated views in paper space with point style labels so I don't have to do drafting clean up twice. To be clear, I had made all point labels legible in model space and my my rotated view in paper space has ruined all my clean up.

I tend to prefer setting the point label style, orientation reference, to "View" and then use UCS then PLAN->CURRENT in each viewport, then do manual label rotations only if absolutely necessary, (or build a separate style that has a 45 degree rotation built in). If you have lots of layouts in one dwg you can save the UCS for each different rotation with a different name and you can call it up quicker when you set subsequent viewports or if you're workng in MS.

Q2. Also is it possible to at least have the points annotated in the final profile drawings after the drawing production stage? If yes, kindly share the detailed procedure for the same. Thanks in advance.

we need this capability as well! When we place points along an element, we need those points to show up in profile and 3D view but currently the points dont realize they are snapped to a 3D element - they only show an X &Y in their properties.

Is this solved now? I can't seem to work out how to show profile representation of placed items (3d representation of points) in the profile view. This is needed to build the profile correctly to attach to certain items.

Get XYZ by user picking?

This must be a duplicate post - I apologize. I couldnt find any post for this question.

I just want to let the user pick a point in the ciurret space as coordinate input.

How is that done in Dynamo?

Thanks for your patience.

Civil Abilities in Divinity Original Sin 2 are listed here. These abilities will save money while buying or selling goods, increase the likelihood of dialogue persuasions/intimidations, confer bonuses to party members, or simply increase the chances of finding loot. You gain a civil ability at level 1, 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34. You cannot invest more than 5 points into any Civil Ability, but you can take them past this with gear. Lone Wolf has no effect on Civil Abilities.

Five senior cadets, plus two younger cadets who served essentially as interns, participated in the Schunnemunk bridge project, says Klosky. The cadets, all civil engineering majors, chose their own project leaders and took charge of the frequent meetings with the various stakeholders, Klosky notes.

The points created by AutoCAD Civil 3D are called Coordinate Geometry (COGO) points, which are very different from AutoCAD point nodes. COGO points, in addition to coordinate data, have a variety of properties associated with them, including point number, point name, raw (field) description, and full (expanded) description. COGO points can be stored in a project outside a drawing and referenced by multiple users.

Add the text points to the surface from Prospector as below. The points will take the elevation from the Z coordinate of the text and its position will be the insertion point of the text (the point where the square grip appears when you select the text in AutoCAD).

Finally, from the first drop-down menu in the previous window, convert the AutoCAD points to COGO Points. The COGO points will be visible in the drawing and listed in Prospector under Points. They will also be included in the _All Points group.

As part of our research, it was revealed that the United States is one of the only major funders for independent civil society organisations (CSOs) in Nicaragua. In light of our recent research, and the current protests that are going on in Nicaragua, we thought this would be a good time to examine the history of Nicaraguan civil society.

In our previous post on Point Display in Civil 3D we talked about the fundamental interpreted nature of point data in Civil 3D. We discovered it can and usually does take a while for the practical realities of the deeper forms of point display resolution and management to sink in.

Civil 3D delivers the means to accomplish sophisticated point display resolutions.

Civil 3D is notoriously bad about suppling management tools to make these subtle integrations easier.

Recall that points only become when the interpreted point data enters a drawing. At the minimum a default Point Style of tag_hash_110 will be applied and all the points will become members of the default All Points Point Group.

In the Description Key examples shown above note the use of NCS 5.0 compliant layers tweaked to allow for easy infrastructure layer management in a civil/survey working environment. The NCS "like" Point Style names (and associated NCS named blocks) by the thousands make Style and graphic identification easy with lots of optional graphics. These are all available in InstantOn, our NCS Symbol Set, and Jump Kit Framework products.

When you need to display points and/or point labels differently you create or edit Point Groups and employ the Point Group Override tab properties to force the filtered and matching points to OBEY a Point Group Override. Yes. Technically this becomes an override of an override. Such double negatives in data may confuse the unwary.

However, it also says that you and your users care about the final published representation of the point almost all the time. I pointed out this dark side last time. Typically, users will also think and/or perceive that they have to manually edit more points and labels individually.

How they see the points will drive their in drawing production edit and point display behavior. That behavior is ALREADY weighted towards exactly the individual point edit approach by their previous working CAD history and experience.

Since the time of the Civil War, veterans of the Armed Forces have been given some degree of preference in appointments to Federal jobs. Recognizing their sacrifice, Congress enacted laws to prevent veterans seeking Federal employment from being penalized for their time in military service. Veterans' preference recognizes the economic loss suffered by citizens who have served their country in uniform, restores veterans to a favorable competitive position for Government employment, and acknowledges the larger obligation owed to disabled veterans.

In addition to receiving preference in competitive appointments, veterans may be considered for special noncompetitive appointments for which only they are eligible. See Chapter 4.

Preference applies in hiring from civil service examinations conducted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and agencies under delegated examining authority, for most excepted service jobs including Veterans Recruitment Appointments (VRA), and when agencies make temporary, term, and overseas limited appointments. Veterans' preference does not apply to promotion, reassignment, change to lower grade, transfer or reinstatement.

Veterans' preference does not require an agency to use any particular appointment process. Agencies have broad authority under law to hire from any appropriate source of eligibles including special appointing authorities. An agency may consider candidates already in the civil service from an agency-developed merit promotion list or it may reassign a current employee, transfer an employee from another agency, or reinstate a former Federal employee. In addition, agencies are required to give priority to displaced employees before using civil service examinations and similar hiring methods.

Military retirees at the rank of major, lieutenant commander, or higher are not eligible for preference in appointment unless they are disabled veterans. (This does not apply to Reservists who will not begin drawing military retired pay until age 60.)

When applying for Federal jobs, eligible veterans should claim preference on their application or resume. Applicants claiming 10-point preference must complete Standard Form (SF) 15, Application for 10-Point Veteran Preference, and submit the requested documentation.

The following preference categories and points are based on 5 U.S.C. 2108 and 3309 as modified by a length of service requirement in 38 U.S.C. 5303A(d). (The letters following each category, e.g., "TP," are a shorthand reference used by OPM in competitive examinations.) ##

A campaign medal holder or Gulf War veteran who originally enlisted after September 7, 1980, (or began active duty on or after October 14, 1982, and has not previously completed 24 months of continuous active duty) must have served continuously for 24 months or the full period called or ordered to active duty. The 24-month service requirement does not apply to 10-point preference eligibles separated for disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty, or to veterans separated for hardship or other reasons under 10 U.S.C. 1171 or 1173. 006ab0faaa
