Stage 1 will be a Swiss system. Instead of a group, players will be assigned one match each week against a player in the open pool.

Format Explained

• Stage 1 will consist of 6 rounds, 1 week each.

  • Players will still schedule the match with their opponent each week.

  • In the first two rounds, opponents will be random.

  • In rounds 3-6, matches will be powered based on record.

    • 2-0s play 2-0s etc.

  • I will avoid matching anyone with an opponent twice in this stage.

• Stage 2 will be a single elimination bracket with 12 players.

  • The top 4 from Stage 1 will advance to the Ro8 automatically.

    • Seeds 5-12 will play each other to advance to the Ro8.
