We aim to foster a love for reading by providing free access to books for students in Title 1 schools.
The literacy gap is widening due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as a lack of exposure to books, further impacting children's education. We aim to fix this through free book fairs, reading events, and gathering books for teachers.
By partnering with publishers, community donors, and volunteers, we strive to empower young readers, support educators, and build a culture of lifelong learning—one book at a time.
Instead of parents paying for books, our book fairs will have free books that children can grab and read to love and keep. Included in these fairs will be fun events for kids to enjoy other than the books themselves. These will be held at Title 1 schools so that children can have access to books that will foster their imagination and keep their minds sharp.
Every child deserves access to a better future, and that starts with reading.

Ideally, a classroom will have a small library of books for children read, enjoy, and return to their teacher when finished. Unfortunately, the purchase of these books is typically left for the teacher to cover, making them use their own money for the good of their students.
As teachers already do so much for their students, it seems unfair that they should have to spend so much on books too. We aim to gather donations, either in terms of books or money, in order to give back to our educators.
We have not yet started this initiative, but please reach out if you have any questions or helpful information!
The best way for kids to become interested in books, is to read a book they love. In most cases, interest starts when a book is read aloud by someone who can breathe life into stories. Engagement increases as children can hear their characters speak.
This idea will be carried into our mission. Through shared reading events at libraries and after school at local elementary schools, kids will be able to listen to a story come to life and build connections with other people through reading.
