Information:

This conference will focus on all areas of astronomy research which benefit from the Big Data Era. It is a challenging era which requires innovation and creativity to deal with increasingly large and complex data sets. However, one of the many benefits it brings is the opportunity for collaboration with other researchers. Conference attendees will not only gain further knowledge of their own field, but of a variety of other subject areas boosting their careers as researchers.

This conference will feature many sessions spanning a range of topics, covering past, current and future surveys. Given this broad range of subjects, the students will have the opportunity to network with others working outside their field, providing the opportunity to share ideas and innovations across different areas of astronomy.

Abstract submission:

Abstract submission is now closed.

Successful applicants will be announced and must then register for the conference via this link by the 24 February 2020.

Inter-conference image contest:

Submit a picture that sums up what your research is about. Images can be a photo of an experiment, simulation snapshot, collage, etc. Get creative! Images can be submitted online by 15 Mar 2020 in the Soft Matter conference website.

Funding:

The conference is funded by SEPnet - the South East Physics Network of universities.

SEPnet will provide accommodation for both days. All breakfasts, lunches, coffees and a pizza buffet with a drinks reception on Wednesday are also provided. However participants' travel expenses will not be covered by SEPnet, and participants must seek alternative funding from their individual institutions to cover their travel costs.
