Pizzeria Press is a Savannah-based Riso Printer.
In collaboration with the Savannah Pooler Indie Creator's Expo (SPiCE), we publish a curated comics anthology featuring artists exhibiting at the Expo. I provide feedback on story development, print formatting, and art critique to optimize each artist's work for Riso printing.
In the Fall of 2025, I worked as an Editorial Intern at ABRAMS ComicArts. I assisted in daily administrative tasks in the office and observed the editorial process and imprint management of ComicArts by our publisher and senior editors. My other responsibilities included, but were not limited to: spreadsheet management, researching targeted marketing strategies for backlist titles, reviewing potential acquisitions, and creating comp lists and fact sheets for new titles.
Friendship House Books is a micro-publisher based in Savannah, GA that focuses on scholarly comics and comics-adjacent content. I curate and review submissions of scholarly articles, comics, and reviews for quarterly issues of Gordon Magazine. The highlight of this job has been coordinating with freelance artists on the custom screenprinted cover designs for Volume 5. Each issue in this Volume is a connected cover image with one unifying background artist and guest artist for the featured "Gordon" on each cover.
While Head Editor at Level Ground Comics, I managed a team of dedicated editors and oversaw production on our annual Kickstarter projects. This included curating submissions, proofreading and copyediting our comic anthologies, and maintaining production schedules for all ongoing projects.
While I have taken a step back from lead editorial work at Level Ground, I am still a consultant on many of their projects.
