Where are the studies that quantify the cost of care - that provide current time / material research of family caregiving settings? How many times do we interact with our care recipients in a 24 hour period? What is the average duration of that time? What are we doing during that time?

Also - what are the material expenditures we are making as family caregivers to provide that family caregiving bed? What is the square footage of our home that is occupied by that bed and its surrounding infrastructure? How much are we paying in property taxes to provide that bed? How much house insurance are we paying to provide that bed? What rental income are we forgoing because we are giving that bed to a family member who can no longer fend for themselves? What about our utilities, appliances, accessibility expenditures?

Please show me these studies. It would be nice to know our healthcare policies of "hospital to home", "aging in place", and "early discharge" are factoring in the true cost of providing healthcare infrastructure in family homes.
