The Abandoned Complex is a multiplayer VR game developed by Tanek (solo developer). This Privacy Policy explains what data is handled when you play the game and how it is used.

The developer of The Abandoned Complex (“we”, “the developer”) is responsible for the data described in this policy.
3. Age Requirement
The game is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
4. Data We Handle
We do not actively collect personal information such as names, emails, or real‑world identities. The following data may be processed as part of gameplay:
Voice chat data - Voice chat is used during gameplay. Voice data is transmitted in real time between players but is not recorded, stored, or monitored by the developer.
IP addresses (for moderation only) - IP addresses may be temporarily accessed via backend services only for moderation and banning purposes (e.g. preventing abuse or repeat offenders) - IP addresses are not shared, sold, or used for tracking.
In‑game data
Non‑personal game data such as virtual currency or progression may be stored to allow gameplay to function correctly. This data does not identify you as a person.
We do not collect:
Real names
Email addresses
Oculus usernames
Analytics or tracking data
Advertising identifiers
5. Deletion Clause
Users may request deletion of personal data associated with the game stored by the developer. This includes in-game currency and gameplay-related records.
Usernames can be changed by the player in-game.
Some data, such as in-game progression and local save files, cannot be deleted by the developer, and players cannot yet modify save files.
Certain information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or abuse prevention.
6. Accounts
Players do not create accounts directly with the developer.
Account creation and management is handled automatically by PlayFab. The developer does not manually access or manage player accounts.
7. Third‑Party Services
The game relies on the following third‑party services to function:

These services may process data necessary for gameplay according to their own privacy policies. We do not control their systems.

Any data processed is used only to:
Allow multiplayer gameplay
Enable voice communication

Track players outside the game

Temporary bans expire automatically.
Permanent bans remain permanent.
No voice data is stored.

Any stored data exists only through PlayFab’s systems as required for gameplay or moderation.
