The mentorship program will pair students with a caring adult. The mentors will seek to provide the youth with all the tools to be able to become a better version of themselves by providing guidance, advice, feedback, support and much more to the mentees. All mentors will be vetted and must pass a thorough background check. Mentors will meet with mentees onsite at the 180 Community Center.

Tutoring Program

Tutoring Program (elementary, middle and high school)

The tutoring program is designed to fill in the gaps of academic misconceptions. The 180 Community Center will partner with neighboring school districts to hire certified teachers to provide tutoring. Tutoring will take place onsite at the 180 Community Center.

Sports Program

Sports Program

The costs to participate in many of the youth sport programs are becoming more and more expensive. We believe parents should not have to choose between paying bills or signing their children up to participate in sports. Thus, The 180 Community Center will provide the opportunity for the youth to participate in sports for little to no cost from the parents. The sports program will provide life long lessons needed to learn how to properly overcome adversity.

Food Pantry Program

Food Pantry Program

The food pantry program is designed to assist those in need. The 180 Community Center will collaborate with local school districts and other organizations to ensure youth and their immediate family have one of basic necessities needed to live by offering non-perishable items free of cost.

Summer Enrichment Program

Summer Enrichment Program

The summer enrichment program is designed to prevent academic learning loss for elementary and middle school age children during the summer months. The summer enrichment program will provide an academic focus while providing experiences and incorporating fun for all participants. To measure the effectiveness of the summer enrichment program each participant will take a pre-screener assessment to determine strengths and areas in need of growth. Once identified, we will focus on each participant’s area in need of growth and monitor participant’s progress on those areas throughout the duration of the camp. Prior to the last day of camp each participant will take a post-screener assessment which would provide the opportunity to identify each participant’s growth.
