Taiwanese Hakka Culture Foundation of America (THCFA) was founded on November 10 of 1989.  THCFA is a non-profit organization intended to serve overseas Hakka and related minority ethnic groups to promote Hakka culture through various activities.

To encourage more engagement from young generations of Hakka overseas, THCFA provides an annual scholarship to Hakka youth who demonstrates outstanding achievement. The Hakka Taiwan Culture Award is awarded to Hakka with outstanding recognition in Taiwan, and The Hakka Special Award is given out from time to time for those proactively promoting the culture and awareness of the Hakka people.  

To continue the support and growth of these vital programs, we not only need your generous donations, but also your help.  Both are greatly appreciated.  THCFA is a non-profit organization with a federal tax-exempt ID, and all your donations are tax-deductible.

客家文化基金會每年頒發大華府區傑出客家青少年獎學金，以鼓勵客家後輩對客家母語及文化的認同; 頒發客家臺灣文化獎以獎勵臺灣對客家語言或文化保存有功人士; 基金會也會不定期的頒發客家貢獻獎給在美對於客家文化發展推廣有貢獻的人; 更不定期主辦或協辦華府客家藝文活動，使客家文化進入主流社會。透過各種活動，來推廣優良的客家文化得以傳承永續。

本會的運作皆仰賴熱心客家文化的各界人士捐助，尤其是客家鄉親的慷慨解囊。非常感謝一直以來的支持與鼓勵，冀望鄉親本著疼惜客家的心繼續出錢出力，一起把各項客家文化活動辦得有聲有色，讓客家文化在全美繼續茁壯且燦爛。
