The Hope Center Christian Academy Umbrella

The Hope Center Christian Academy exists to empower, equip, and encourage homeschooling families as they answer God's call to educate their children at home. As a Maryland State Department of Education–recognized umbrella school, we provide faithful supervision and support that helps families meet state homeschooling requirements with confidence and clarity.

More than compliance, we cultivate community — a thriving place where homeschooling families connect, encourage one another, and walk the journey together. We envision a community that empowers homeschooling students and families not just to meet the requirements of today, but to build the foundation for success that carries them well beyond graduation — into college, career, and calling, into whatever future God has prepared for them. 

The Hope Center Christian Academy (THCCA) is a homeschool umbrella operated by The Hope Center Church.  THCCA is authorized by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to supervise home instruction pursuant to COMAR 13A.10.01.05, and offers support to homeschooling families with children in grades K through 12.  Please visit our "About" page to read THCCA guidelines and policies prior to submitting a family application.

Membership in The Hope Center Christian Academy is open to all homeschooling families, and a family does not have to be a part of The Hope Center Church to participate in THCCA.
