That rusty bus

That Rusty Bus took the United States by storm this year. Traveling state to state, The Bedacht family showed off the 2014 Fleetwood RV Discovery® model RV that is uniquely disguised as Cousin Eddie’s Rusty Bus from – you guessed it! – the classic National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation film, and after 4 years, it’s still turning heads. 

What’s the point? 

If you’ve cracked a smile after seeing That Rusty Bus driving down the highway or parked at your nearest Buc-ees, then that’s just it. 

The vision for That Rusty Bus is simple: Make People Smile. 

From January – December 2024, That Rusty Bus made its mark across the nation.

In addition to thousands of smiles, that rusty bus made 20+ pit stops at Buc-ee’s Richmond, KY for beaver juice and hung out with Randy Quaid, the OG Cousin Eddie (thanks to Ashley Furniture for making this happen)! The Rusty Bus crew also supported & promoted 15+ small businesses & local restaurants, and stayed in 10+ RV camps nationwide.

What’s next for That Rusty Bus? 

That Rusty Bus will continue burning up I75 North & South in 2025. The Bedacht family’s goal is to kickoff a Christmas in July Tour at one of their favorite spots: Pigeon Forge, TN.
