About Me

I am Dr. C. Thatchinamoorthy, a doctoral degree holder in the department of Agricultural Extension. I am currently working as an assistant professor at JSA College of Agriculture and Technology, affiliated with TNAU. I completed my doctoral degree at Annamalai University from 2015 to 2022 and have been awarded a M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Extension by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. I received seven awards, like best researcher, best young researcher, international distinguished researcher, and best presentation awards, as well as fellowships from academic societies for my contributions. I authored six books, seven book chapters, and 20 research papers, which were published in national and international journals of repute; 53 research abstracts; and some popular articles for the benefit of the farming community and field functionaries. I have participated in more than fifty international and national seminars, workshops, and policy-level meetings in India and have contributed as a paper presenter and guest speaker. I successfully completed one research project funded by RIMES, Thailand. I have successfully completed 11 massive open online courses related to basic agriculture and agricultural extension education, and I have actively participated in 26 training programmes based on teaching and research, including advanced ICT tools relevant to agriculture education. I also act as a reviewer and editorial board member for various research societies and am also a member of academic societies.
