Government Senior Secondary School, Tharpu is located in the West District of State Sikkim, India. The School was established in 1951 and runs smoothly under the Department of Education, Govt. of Sikkim. The G.S.S.S., Tharpu not only cater its service to the student of its peripheries like, Tharpu, Timburbong, Bojek, Daramdin, Mangsari, Budang of Sikkim but also extending service to students of Darjeeling District, West Bengal . School has Arts, Science, Commerce, Tourism and Information Technology streams for Class XI and XII.
