Hello and welcome! I am delighted to have you here at my portfolio. My name is Thanveer Shaik. I am a Business Intelligence Analyst at UniSQ and a passionate researcher pursuing my PhD in Artificial Intelligence.
I have a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), with my research focusing on Federated Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Machine Unlearning techniques for privacy-preserving healthcare solutions. My doctoral research received significant recognition, including a Queensland Health grant of $10,000 and multiple awards. I also have a Master’s in Applied Data Science from UniSQ and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
Professional Experience
I have extensive industry experience spanning multiple domains, including data analytics, business intelligence, and software engineering. As a Business Intelligence Analyst at UniSQ, I manage complex datasets, develop Power BI dashboards, and implement automated workflows to support strategic decision-making. I have expertise in data governance and reporting has significantly enhanced operational efficiency.
Academic Research
My academic contributions include pioneering work in AI-driven privacy-preserving techniques, AI in education, and climate-resilient frameworks. I have collaborated with researchers across UniSQ schools, including Mathematics, Business, Education, and Climate Sciences, as well as international institutions in China, Hong Kong, and Chile. My research outputs include publications in high-impact journals such as Information Fusion, IEEE TNNLS and IEEE TKDE, and international conference presentations. My achievements have earned accolades like the Dr. Barbara Harmes Memorial Prize in Research Publication Excellence and the Editor’s Choice Award from the Natural Language Processing Journal.
Teaching Experience
I have taught various undergraduate and postgraduate computing courses at UniSQ, including Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Programming.
