Biography: Thanh-Toan (Toan) Do is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Data Science and AI, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. In 2012, he obtained his Ph.D. in computer science at INRIA Rennes, France. From 2013 to 2016, he was a Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision (ACRV) and the University of Adelaide. From 2018 to 2020, he was a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool. His research interests include Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Some particular research problems are Compact Deep Learning, Few-shot Learning, and Metric Learning.
