ABOUT

Thalia Añora, T. Alchemy (b. 2003), is a young photographer, documentarian & cultural worker born from Bohol Philippines, now based in Baltimore, Maryland. Through both their artistic process & research into praxis, their work focuses on a transmutation of intergenerational pain into communal streams of possibility for structural participatory decision making. Growing up in Baltimore, yet being raised in truth to their Filipino heritage, they're understanding that people across all parts of the globe ultimately fight the same demon. Their goal is to connect the pieces together for the global audience, to not only highlight unity in people, but to offer opportunities for alternative structures and for healing.

Alumni from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), they graduated with & designed their own independent study focused in Creative Enterprise & Sociocultural Leadership (December 2025). They are the founder of The Interlude, the first ever student-led art exhibition initiative on campus that aims to invite active & creative collaboration throughout the larger UMBC community, & have curated shows in partnership with UMBC's Center for Art Design & Visual Culture (CADVC). Their photography has been recognized by Vogue (PhotoVogue), DGX Magazine, Bartleby Artist Journal, Added to the File Magazine, and Love Life Magazine.
