Interims are next week! You will take the ELA interim on Thursday, May 28th from 10 AM-12 PM! Make sure to get lots of rest and look over this study guide a few times.

Honor Classes' Applications are now live! Click this link to fill out the application to be in 8th grade Honors ELA!

Hello, scholars! The time has come to start thinking of next year's classes! Here is a link to apply for honors classes. Please be prepared to set aside 30 minutes - one hour to complete in its entirety. If applying for Honors Math, have scratch paper ready. If applying for Honors ELA, spend some time before starting the application to find an exemplar piece of work that you can upload. The application is due May 22, good luck!

Class Expectations

  • There will be a lesson posted in Google Classroom each day. There may be other websites you are redirected to. To get to google classroom from here, you can click your class period below.

  • Every lesson you choose to complete must be turned in so that I can provide feedback.

  • If you need help, contact me. You can text or email me any time before 9pm, but the best time for us to communicate is during my office hours. We can chat on the phone, on Google Hangouts, or use a Google Hangouts video chat.

Starting on April 6th through May 27th:

New Assignments will be posted DAILY on Google Classroom at 7:00 AM . These assignments WILL be graded! Each assignment must be completed by the due date.

Daily Journal for Historic Purposes-- This is optional but highly encouraged!

Metro Library’s archivists need your help capturing and preserving our history during the COVID-19 pandemic. Are you keeping a journal or diary of this time? Please consider sharing your story and donating your diary to the MLS Oklahoma County COVID-19 Pandemic Diary Project!

-We need stories from all across the county! Anyone - any age, any profession, any location - is welcome to submit! Start journaling today!

-Very interested in the stories of first responders, medical professionals, laid-off workers, people working overtime, people in isolation, teachers, anyone with a story to tell!

-Accepting any medium or format: text document, hand-written journal, social media handles, photographs, audio/video recordings, drawings, poetry, etc.

I will create an assignment on Google Classroom that runs throughout the whole quarter, so you can keep your journal on a Google Doc and add any pictures, videos, etc. straight on there!
