SYLLABUS
This course introduces students to three Google applications.
I. GOOGLE DOCS
Google Docs is a web-based word processing tool designed for creating, editing, and collaborating. Students will be able to do the following in Google Docs:
Create a Google Doc
Name a Google Doc
Download a Google Doc to Microsoft Word
Make a copy of a Google Doc
Share a Google Doc
Apply formatting features (bold, underline, font, align & indent, and line spacing)
Insert tables, links, pictures, images, charts, page elements, and symbols
Edit a Google Doc using copy and paste
Voice typing and translating a document
II. GOOGLE SLIDES
Google Slides is a web-based program for creating and presenting slideshows. Students will be able to do the following in Google Slides:
Create a Google Slide
Name a Google Slide
Download a Google Slide to Microsoft PowerPoint
Make a copy of a Google Slide
Share a Google Slide
Work with slide templates and themes
Change the background and slide layout
Insert and delete slides
Insert text, images, drawings, videos, tables, and shapes
Apply formatting features
Add animations and transitions to slides
Present a slide show
III. GOOGLE SHEETS
Google Sheets is a spreadsheet used to create, edit, and analyze data. Students will be able to do the following in Google Sheets:
Create a Google Sheet
Name a Google Sheet
Download a Google Sheet to Microsoft Excel
Make a copy of a Google Sheet
Share a Google Sheet
Insert rows, columns, charts, and images
Enter and work with formulas
Sort information or data
Apply formatting features (text, numbers, alignment, and rotation)
Use basic functions, (e.g., AVERAGE, SUM, COUNT, MIN, and MAX).
Format cells
Create a chart from data
