Google Docs Content

• Selected text within an active Google Docs™ document

• If no text is selected, the visible text of the current document

This content is used solely to generate questions requested by the user.

User Email Address

• Your Google account email address may be accessed only to verify subscription status for paid features.

How Information Is Used

Information accessed by the add-on is used for the following purposes only:

• Generating educational questions from document text

• Formatting output for Google Docs™, PDF downloads, or Google Forms

• Verifying paid subscription status

• Providing customer support and troubleshooting

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

Third-Party Services

Text to Questions for Google Docs™ uses the following third-party services to operate:

OpenAI API

• Document text is securely transmitted to the OpenAI API to generate questions.

• Text is sent only at the user’s request.

• We do not store or reuse document content beyond the request lifecycle.

Stripe

• Stripe is used to verify paid subscription status.

• Only the user’s email address is checked to confirm an active subscription.

• Payment information is never stored or processed by Text to Questions.

Data Storage & Retention

• We do not permanently store Google Docs content.

• Temporary data (such as cached license verification) may be stored for performance purposes and automatically expires.

• No document text is retained after question generation is completed.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties except as required to operate the service (OpenAI and Stripe, as described above).

User Control

• You control what text is used by choosing what to generate questions from.

• You may stop using the add-on at any time by uninstalling it from Google Docs™.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect data transmitted through the add-on, including secure API communication and restricted access to sensitive credentials.

Children’s Privacy

Text to Questions for Google Docs™ is intended for use by educators and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
